Life in HK - Wetland Park

Look at the beautiful landscape, this 60+ hectare integrated, themed education and recreaction venue and world class ecotourism facility contains extensive wetland habitats, outdoor exhibits, boardwalks and bird hides.

Located near Yuen Long, where I took a bus from Mong Kok to Tin Shui Wai. Then I change to light rail get off at Wetland Park Station.

There is a butterfly garden where you can find many types of interesting insects surrounded by colourful flowers

Flower wearing hat?

Taken in one of the bird hides.

'Here I am King'. Hahhaha, Don't be mistaken by the picture. Its not as big as the crab that we use to see in the restaurant. Its has a size slightly bigger than a 50cents coin.

If you like nature type of photography, this is the place for you :D

Life in HK - Ngong Ping 360

Experience started with a stunning long cable car ride that offers breathtaking views of North Lantau and the South China Sea. Arriving at the themed Ngong Ping Village, here you can enjoy a variety of shopping and dining options in this pleasant Chinese style village.

Next to the village setting the world's tallest outdoor seated bronze Buddha which sits serenely atop Ngong Ping plateau amid spectacular mountain scenery.

Hahaha, caught someone's leg walking back to cable station :P

Watching sunset on cable car, it disappeared so fast as the cable car move down.

Life in HK - Tai O Fishing Village

In this post I will share some of the photos taken in Tai O Fishing Village (Lantau Island). I went there on a Sunday afternoon, wanted to go Giant Buddha, however I changed my mind after seeing the long queue waiting for the cable car. I took a bus to this beautifull fishing village instead.

China - ShenZhen/Zhuhai

After trip to Guilin, I went back to Hong Kong for a short break where I met up with my auntie and cousins. We went into Shenzhen on Saturday, and its a whole day of massage from head to toe, hahaha though I dont really enjoy it but my cousin love it.

The next morning, I went to the Shenzhen miniature world to experience the world most famous bulding in mini form. Well inside ther not much to shoot. Been doing a lots snap shot of people rather than the mini building.

It was just 2 days pass Halloween, as I can see many haunted attraction in the miniature world. School children were here for the adventure 'around the world in 1 day' hahaha.

After ShenZhen, I moved on to Guangzhou where I only stayed for 1 night (the weather is bad and raining). I decided to travel south to Zhuhai in the hope of getting better weather.
Well I was just unlucky, the rain followed me to Zhuhai toooo :(

The above is a scene near the little fishing village at Hengqin island, where I took a cab from Zhuhai town at 5.30am. Trying my luck hoping to see sunrise, well it started to rain on the way :(

Above is the Zhuhai Fisherwoman, 8.7m high and weighs 10 tons. This huge stone carving composed of 70 pieces of granite is now a symbol of Zhuhai city.

In Zhuhai, I also visited the new yuanmingyuan park. It is located at the foot of Dashilin mountain at Lanpu by Jiuzhou Boulevard. The park is built by modeling after Beijing's Yuanmingyuan Park before it was burned down at scale 1:1. There is lots of performace in the park, so I spent my whole afternoon watching and shooting performance.
Since the weather was bad in the 3 days and 2 night of my stay in Zhuhai, I decided to return Hong Kong earlier.
Next will be the continuation - Life in Hong Kong.

China - Guilin [part V]

Back in Singapore today! Took the 10 am flight from Macau. Felt good to be back though it rained the whole afternoon.

It's time to continue my Guilin/Yangsou story, I spent two and a half days in Yangsou which meant I had three chances to see sunrise. Sad to say that there was no sunrise during the three days of my stay eventhough I woke up 5.30am daily.

The view above is right outside the hotel corridor. Dont you think it looks like a chinese drawing?

Well, this is the spot I waited for three mornings to capture the sunrise.

In the afternoon, we traveled to the nearby village to shoot sceneries of locals and mountains. Rain was with me the whole afternoon. Wet wet wet!

Well, overall I love this place, people and the food. It's really an enjoyable trip, I will definately go back again.
Next, I will be sharing my short trip to Guangdong-Shenzhen/Guangzhou/Zhuhai.

China - Guilin [part IV]

Back to Hong Kong yesterday from Zhuhai, quite a boring trip (sad to say that) b'cos the weather was so bad that I couldnt take many photos, sad.

Let's continue with my journey in Guilin. I took a local package where I travelled by bus to Xiping town and then by boat up and down the beautiful Lijiang river.

Along the river, I was standing on the deck of the boat throughout the journey with camera on hand. It was freezing COLD especially when the boat was speeding. Here, I could see different sizes and shapes of hill along the side of Lijiang river even though the sky looked misty. It created a very interesting scene.

After the river trip, we went to the little village near Moon mountain for our lunch. This mountain is named 'MOON' b'cos while traveling along/around it you will be able to see different shape of moon from different angle, interesting right?

Are you able to find the 'Moon'?
Well, next I will show some of the photos taken in Yangsou, the beautiful/famous town in Guilin. Stay tuned...
+ This morning finally able to see sunrise, could'nt stop shooting :P
